Songs of Africa

In the distant land where the sun radiates In the heat of the day, as the sun sinks low He sends his love on the beat of a drum Under the hot African sun He listens to the musical beat Of his country, trying to find his feet But corruption has played it's part Leaving Africans dismayed at heart He works hard during the day Looking for a better tomorrow And as he sings songs of old That is how his stories are told Willing to make a changes Trying to do what is right He will write far into the night Of things that would give us fright He has a heart of gold many stories to be told Well penned writings becomes his art Songs of Africa within his heart. for Charles Melody (lightning ink)

The wording of this poem reminded me a bit of the hit song by Toto called "Africa". You have great descriptiveness here.
