Songbird Heard

When words ring true... like a bird's song - best sound I've heard. A blurred meaning, or absurd phrase is not preferred. Written 13 Dec 2020 [Bauk Than form, created by Charles Messina, consists of stanzas of 3 lines; where line 1, syllable 2 rhymes with line 2, syllable 3 and line 3, syllable 4]

No, only one was required. After doing just one, I felt it needed a little extra balance. Thanks for the encouraging words ~ John

How true, I love bird watching and hearing them when we go further North in the Kruger Park, simply unbelievable. My parents and I lived in Zambia - my dad was army officer, just about 200 kilometres from the equator - the bird life was amazing, who needs awkward humans when we have birds, of the feathered variety I mean of course! Hugs and blessing my friend John, Jennifer.

I think I've always preferred clear poetry to the abstract, and the sweet song of this is very clear, hoping for a win for you in the contest!

You got the gist, Michelle. I'm always nervous in my short writes that my intentions get blurred. Thanks for the visit ~ John

WoW! John, I agree; meaningless words are absurd; they are better unsaid. Best wishes in the contest. Have a wonderful day:-)Alexis

Thanks for the visit, Alexis. I do prefer poetry with a clear meaning, but I see lots of very evocative abstract as well. To each his own as they say. Enjoy your day ~ John
