Somewhere Near Eternity

beneath the cloak of the night, it is he who tells himself who he is, standing in the circle of his inner light; whereas, in the glare of daylight, other people tell him who and how he is in their judgmental sight; but then he takes to heart his identity, his eyes focus with such deep clarity on a spot somewhere near eternity.
