Some Things Take Some Time
I used to chase the morning light,
Thinking answers came overnight.
But I’ve learned the sky won’t always clear
Just because we need it here.
The flower doesn’t bloom on cue,
And hearts don’t heal when we want them to.
Some things take some time—
Like learning how to breathe again,
Letting go of what might've been.
It's okay to fall behind,
To walk the path at your own pace,
Not every race is meant to race.
Don’t rush the mountain you must climb—
Some things take some time.
I’ve made mistakes, I've held on tight
To what was wrong, thinking it was right.
But even pain can teach us grace,
If we give it gentle space.
Not every dream is meant to soar
The moment you unlock the door.
Some things take some time—
Like building trust that’s real and true,
Or finding all the pieces of you.
It's okay to redefine
What love should look and feel like too—
The deepest change starts small and slow.
So breathe, and give yourself the climb—
Some things take some time.
Seasons turn, and rivers bend,
Healing starts where pressure ends.
Be kind to the one inside your skin—
Every ending lets new life begin.
Some things take some time—
Like rising from the ashes burned,
Or seeing what the silence learned.
So don’t be afraid to shine,
Even if the light is dim—
It’s still enough to start again.
You’re not alone, and that’s a sign—
Some things…
Some things take some time.
Let the story slowly rhyme…
Some things take some time.
