[Sing to the tune of "Some Enchanted Evening" from the Broadway musical, "South Pacific"]
Some sad lonely evening, I will meet a lover
I will see my lover across this dim saloon
And seeing her I’ll know, I’ll know even then,
I’ll come back here to see her again and again.
Some sad lonely evening, others will be laughing
And I’ll hear her laughing across the dim saloon
And night after night, as weird as it seems,
Just hearing her laughing invades all my dreams.
I can’t explain it, nor can I tell you why,
Some give me reasons, but friends never try.
Some sad lonely evening, I will find my true love
I will hear her laughing across the dim saloon
If I weren’t so shy, I’d run to her side
But being too timid, I’ll drink here alone.
I should have grabbed her, kissed her lips right then.
I should have grabbed her, kissed her lips right them.
Some sad lonely evening, I will meet a lover
I will see my lover across this dim saloon
And seeing her I’ll know, I’ll know even then,
I’ll come back here to see her again and again.
