[Sing to the tune of "Some Enchanted Evening" from the Broadway musical, "South Pacific"]

Some sad lonely evening, I will meet a lover I will see my lover across this dim saloon And seeing her I’ll know, I’ll know even then, I’ll come back here to see her again and again. Some sad lonely evening, others will be laughing And I’ll hear her laughing across the dim saloon And night after night, as weird as it seems, Just hearing her laughing invades all my dreams. I can’t explain it, nor can I tell you why, Some give me reasons, but friends never try. Some sad lonely evening, I will find my true love I will hear her laughing across the dim saloon If I weren’t so shy, I’d run to her side But being too timid, I’ll drink here alone. I should have grabbed her, kissed her lips right then. I should have grabbed her, kissed her lips right them. Some sad lonely evening, I will meet a lover I will see my lover across this dim saloon And seeing her I’ll know, I’ll know even then, I’ll come back here to see her again and again.

Thanks, Jo. Good to hear from you. BTW, I'll get your check out to you first of next week. I have been having health problems. Was in hospital for cath scan. They couldn't fix it this time.

beautiful job, Milt. I went and just found out it was closed out yesterday and I have it ready too late. But i will use mine for the light contest because I did a humorous one. Congrats. Great podium win.

Andrea, thanks so much. I've been under the weather the past couple of days, so have been resting (in the hospital overnight). Sorry you missed the contest. It was a fun one.

A wonderful play on the song Milt! I really feel the dim saloon and mood that you created with your well chosen words! Good luck in the contest !!

Thank you so much, Mike. I had fun with it. I don't advocate saloons as the best place to pick up lovers, but, hey, it worked here. Have a fine, fine Sunday!

That song has always been so special to me Milton. It was my God Father and Mother’s song that was playing when they met. I hunted all over until I found a music box that played that song and I gave it to them for their 25th anniversary. You did a wonderful job with your lyrics and I sang your words. Lovely! Blessings xxoo

Thanks so much, Connie. Until "A Chorus Line" came along, my go-to musical when I was feeling low was "South Pacific." Do you remember how the scene changed colors during the songs? It was magical. I think the first musical filmed in color by Pathe. Not sure, but think so.
