Solitude Is My Silent Saviour

No one understands the reason for living, many prefer to receive without giving. In a world full of selfish behaviour, solitude has become my silent saviour. Instruments are repressed without musicians, as some kill the music before auditions. My harp cares not for words about tradition, ignores fake applause for romantic fiction. Love is a way of life, yet some bring it shame, mercy cannot sin, feelings are not a game. People point fingers to those without a name, what will they do when there's no one left to blame? I'm no Romeo, I need no Juliet, I've loved and lost, broken hearts I still regret.

The healing solitude...the need to retreat so as to " think things through..." Hopefully with the prospect of forgiving oneself for regrets. Excellent Sonnet- makes one think...((( Hugs)))

A masterpiece my friend. So much truth in this gem that it awes me. Yes, life and love are complicated, mysterious and oft plagued by lies, pains, hurts and hidden daggers stabbing ones soul. Yet when right, life and love are the deepest of divine blessings given to we fallen mortals . A fav...

Hi Silent, a wonderful Sonnet my friend. Silence can sing so loud my friend. This poem delves so deep and yet gently into the topic. Once again, you let your emotions flow through your words and they are mirrored by the reader. You have a gift, you use it so well. A fav. Have a wonderful Friday. Your friend always....Mike.

Hay silent one. A truly heartfelt poem with so much emotion. I am a introvert and I actually prefer my own company and to be alone at times to.

A good friend once told me 'if you dont go within, you go without' and although it took me a while to grasp that concept of his, when I did, I realized how wise his words were. We’re social creatures and it’s important for us to have strong connections with other people.but solitude is just as important. I agree with everything about your Sonnet on Solitude, in this chaotic world, its very important to just get away and reflect. A Poetic gem and a fave for the list....Maria Hugs

An excellent poem which makes us sit and think, S1. The world is never going to be perfect, and some people can make life a misery. I can't blame you wanting to live in solitude ... yet we have so much to give! ~ Regards // paul

Perhaps it's best to stay Silent, in our World. Especially with all that is going on. The chaos. However, living in Solitude will not change the World. Your thoughts leave my mind pondering the answer. So beautifully written and presented my friend. ~ Brandy

Living in solitude will not change the world, but will help one to stay away from negativity and selfishness... we all need to find our own peace.... thank you..

There are givers and takers in this world. I am a giver married to a giver who doesn't like me to give him anything. I compensate by giving to my friends and children instead. I loved your beautiful poem Silent! : ) xxoo

We need more people like you in this world, too many people think about themselves and what is best for them... not giving thought to others around them... Thank you Sandra..

Those who have gained a deep understanding of the inner Self and of what is around them.. those who have acquired an awakening and growth at different levels.. They DO SUFFER! It is very hard when you don't find souls sharing the same language of mind and heart.. It is harder when the souls that cannot meet your high dimensions pretend to know it all and accord their shallow judgements.. Hence your "silent solitude" Silent One! Everything is "lost in translation"! So profound! So beautiful! FAV

You are right, what really annoys me is those who are lost in their traditions and customs and let others dictate their lives for them... that is very frustrating...Thank you for your visit..
