Blessed Solitude
Solitary, yet mirth-filled
drowned in the depths of nostalgic jubilation.
There, I find myself in awesome revelry
soaring toward new-found freedom’s pinnacle
propelled by wings of faith
imprisoned in the Sovereign’s heart!
Alone, but never lonesome
midst the reminiscences of spiritual liberty.*
There I am unshackled from sin-fears’ chains
by the supreme bondage Breaker
Who assures me constant triumph
while to His control I joyously yield!
Solitude’s solace, engulfed by divine ecstasy
in sweet communion with the Lover of my soul.
There I have his blessed favor against world’s din
as His captive who’s totally surrendered to His will
graciously granted with life everlasting
cherishing heavenly heritage forever!
*Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
