So Sad

All alone she sat each day, no one called
Until a new neighbour moved in nearby.
Old lady looked so sad, she was appalled
Asked her to come and give coffee a try
Across she came, confidence re-installed
She has booked a holiday in July.
Started to pack, was so happy she cried
Next morning I was told that she had died.

Penned 12/06/2017

True story I was the new neighbour.

Sorry for your loss, Seren. We had a courier die in my workplace a week ago Friday. We checked the bathroom/storage space. He was already gone. Just horrible.
