So Powerful
So powerful it can transport you to the moon
Or turn a cold January day into summery June
It remembers everything you've seen and done
The peaks and valleys, the boredom and the fun
It can spur you onward to impossible heights
Or drag you down to the darkest of nights
It's with you when you're born; doesn't leave you 'till you die
You never can get rid of it, though at times you'd like to try
How else to explain the artist, who walks across a bed of nails
With nary a burn on his feet, without emitting a single wail
He employs a familiar device, one that's free for all to find
He does it -- and you can too! -- with the power of his mind
