So Full of Himself!

He's called a Pistashe Now isn't that a odd sounding name for a tree? A more likely name would be Dashing With his bold personality He's not meek, or discreet He has a daring streak! He steals the limelight From every other tree in sight! It's not very humble, with all his pride Standing out from the other's on our mountainside But I must admit, he outshines the maple He outshines the ash With his bright, bold, red leaves He's quite right to be rash....he's the Pistashe!

Now I have to go look up this tree! It sounds wonderfully bold and interesting. I like this poem very much! Thank you for your comment on the missing poetry. It was a relief to click on my name and be able to see them all. Thank you for pointing that out. Don't know why I didn't think of that (guess I have an IQ of duh lately!) Now if I can just figure out a way to delete the extra copy of that limerick that uploaded when I thought it didn't post the first time...

And his bark is worse than his bite! Very clever write. Thanks for commenting on my poems... I haven't quite got the hang of it here yet (errors causing me to post multiple times!) FYI... Ryan was my 22 yr. old son, killed in a motorcycle accident. He wasn't married nor did he have kids... this was a dream of the life he never lived. Thanks again, Tom
