So Far Away
I noticed today you are so far away,
I felt the remoteness of the distance-
Since you’ve been gone, I’ve not much to say,
you have shielded yourself with resistance.
I remembered today how you left without warning,
no time for me to accept your awful goodbye-
Now I live in anguish, every minute I’m mourning,
and there’s never a twinkle of joy in my eye.
I found out today you’re happy and free,
I’m stuck in a mindset of stoicism and so aloof-
Why couldn’t you stay and love only me?
I guess in loving me you had no proof.
I realized today it’s time for me to let go,
no linger shall I drown in misery and pain-
All the days of heartache and endless woe,
now so far away you shall always remain.
