Snowman's Quandry

I feel very ridiculous standing here on the front lawn, As passersby glance at me and stifle a yawn! How would you feel with a carrot for a nose, And standing here shivering with absolutely no clothes! Everytime the turf gets blanketed with snow, The household kids rush outdoors with faces aglow, Resurrecting me right on the same old spot, Never minding whether I want to be or not! Alas, the neighborhood mutts take great pleasure, Hoisting a hind leg on me much to my displeasure! This further adds to my embarrassing plight, Leaving me looking a most dreadful sight! May I make a plea that would make life easier to bear? Isn't there a buxom snow woman out there somewhere, Who could provide me with loving companionship? Maybe I could keep warm standing with her hip to hip! I suppose all I can do since my creation, Is provide as much pleasure as I can for the duration. Thank goodness! On the horizon I see welcome relief! Old Sol will ensure that my miserable existence will be brief! Robert L. Hinshaw, CMSgt, USAF, Retired (© All Rights Reserved)
