“Simon Beck‘s art is inspired by the natural wonder and intricate nature of snowflakes; he travels the world carving large-scale artworks (around 300 pieces to date) into snow-covered landscapes using only his manpower and a pair of snowshoes. Many of his ideas come from patterns found in nature (snowflakes, spiraled cactus spears, cannabis leaves); crop circles; mathematical equations; and even iconic artists such as Vincent Van Gogh.”(sunset.com/travel/outdoor-adventure/simon-beck-snow-art-colorado)

thank you, dear Sotto! Since we have so little snow here in Texas, I think back to the years I lived in Indiana with snow constantly from November till the end of February. I had to come to appreciate the snow....many of the students at the university did use the snow in a creative manner. Long time ago but I still envision them...hence the poem. Have a great evening, Sara

Oh wow! Im truly impressed and in awe of both the artwork you’ve shared and also the lanterne. How well you’ve conveyed this! Its amazing how we can find so many inspiring things through nature. Most artists are inspired by all that. I see. And i love “ as an artist using snow” snow artist youve delivered very well in few syllables. Very creative of you too! You are definitely a seasonal artist too and amazing how you find all these inspirations for us all to admire! Thank you for sharing

thank you, kindest Ink, for your visit and lovely, encouraging words. I agree...nature is inspiring. I just 'happened upon' snow artistry pictures yesterday...hence the inspiration for the poem. I didn't want to detract from the art work, so I kept the poem short. Glad you appreciated it. Grateful for your visits...your words inspire me. Have a wonderful weekend, hugs, Sara

Amazing picture Sara, I've seen patterns like that by sand artists but never seen one with snow. A shame that when spring comes they will disappear. Enjoy your weekend. Tom

thanks for stopping by, Tom. I agree, what snow artists do is amazing. I, too, have seen sand artistry before but not snow artistry. Have a pleasant day, Sara

I agree, Jerry. The commitment to create art in snow is amazing...one definitely either likes the cold or dresses appropriately. Me, I'll stick to writing and creating inside where its warm. :-) Enjoy your day, Sara

Sara, Your poem is a beautiful and evocative piece that captures the essence of winter. The imagery of winter as an artist using snow is particularly striking. Here’s my take on your poem: Winter comes as an artist using snow, Painting the world in shades of white and blue. The chill in the air, the frost on the trees, All part of the masterpiece winter weaves. Your are a wonderful poet!
