"personification poem about the wind, rain, Snow, thunder or Sun" Poetry Contest (8 - 12 lines)

Sponsor: Tania Kitchin

FIRST  PLACE

An ethereal lady visiting us! She arrives magnificently dressed In white silky laces, and exquisite silver jewellery, Glistening and glittering, in a light feathery gown. She breezes in dancing and prancing around the trees, But gradually her angelic silhouette gets blurred By a luminous veil - her dainty slender figure Becoming translucent to our eyes... With her celestial magic wand, she turns the tall Evergreens gorgeously adorned with Shimmering snow-pellets, each snowflake reflecting Elation and ecstasy concealed and crystallized!

Mala, dear friend, your lines are draped in in beautiful images born out of fairytales and purest fantasy spreading the magic of snow from a "celestial wand." I am totally enchanted by your poem. Congratulations on your win. Easter blessings and hugs to you!

Dear Sam, Thank you so much for your inspiring and kindest words! Living in Canada for many years, I got used to snow, and enjoy snowy days. Some days, when I don’t have to go to work, and get the opportunity to watch the falling snow - the silvery snowflakes, the evergreens draped with snow-pellets, I feel captivated by the magical beauty! Love and many Hugs to you, My Gifted Friend!

Exquisite poem and lovely take for the contest. I particularly delighted in your alliterative lines (shimmering snow-pellets, each snowflake...) I liked the 'celestial magic wand' image as well. So many delightful lines that makes this a great contest contender. Best wishes in the contest, hugs, Sara
