Sneakers

My name is Princess Sneakers
though I'm better known as Boo.
My life was great before the "dogs"
A fact that's sad but true.

I was the first, then we got Dink
which was O.K. with me.
but once they started getting dogs
they ended up with three.

They chase me and abuse me
they're stupid and they drool
how I wish for the "good old days"
when Kitties had the rule!

I just want to eat and sleep
and to be left alone.
One day they'll all be sorry
'cause I'll run away from home!

James Foulk December 4, 2008 at 1:56 PM ok did you see the movie about where all of this cats were kidnapping dogs. it made dogs look real dumb, i have it, but can't think of the name yet. I am a dog person, but this was very cute and touching. we get so close to those darling pets of ours rather dogs or cats. we had our dog put to asleep in 1997 and that was a sad day. so know what you mean. thank you for reading my poem and for your comment

I also have terrible guilt feelings that my dog gets more love than my cats, and one cat even less than the others. My heart goes out to you on such a sad day.
