Snapshot of Love
SNAPSHOT OF LOVE
fell in love with a boy who dreamed of love
i hold his picture to my eye level with the sky
his picture placed in a stranger’s album
let’s call them dad and mom
i peer into his innocent eyes and smile
before he’d walk me down the aisle
strangers held his heart in their hands
he’d answer fervently to their commands
looks about seven or eight to me
before this boy took me on a date
after all of this time’s gone by
i see him as a child tears puddle in my eyes
