Smile Turned Downside Up

Moments of despair with anguish and resent unroll,
With the touch of some cold memories and decontrol,
They crumble my heart and I feel ruffled again.
As ripples when they waveringly resurface,
I try and held myself against them and brace.
Once again I play a silent war with stories of the past ;
I fight to resist them so as to efface and off I can cast.
I release slowly what I carry along yet but within..
For I know I need to ascend from the hollow baggage in.
It can't be a thing of tomorrow and I need to overcome,
For I know what's gone shouldn't affect what is to come !

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

The last line is genius, please cling to it Nandini Ji. This is true confessional poetry; I took to poetry as THERAPY. Writing helps and if NOT true of your experiences, U have a skill in placing challenges of time> Past, future, PRESENT: only the last is a real GIFT!
