Smile Blankly At Ten Forgiving Fingers
One face,
Two eyes,
One mouth,
Two nostrils,
One first name,
One last,
One Person,
An infinite past.
Pass by on the street,
You don't hear each others' souls weep.
You smile blankly,
He maybe smiles back.
You walk on,
Wondering to yourself,
What if we took a larger leap?
Running back,
You grab his hand,
He turns back to you and wishes for your soul to keep.
You lean with the wind,
You rock like the ocean boat,
You're two as one that may never have been had you never given in,
Now you're asleep,
and he's out to catch some fish to eat.
Your life was nothing until you let yourself weep.
