Sleepless Dream

I lay me down to sleep My thoughts I give spirits high Wondering way out in the dark This sleepless dream I live awake This endless journey I travel alone I soar with eyes wide open My flight filled with clouds I ride This sleepless dream I fight for darkness No sleep in life do I find to rest But in dream I find no truth My mind laid in thoughts untold My being crush but alive I stay The sleepless dream I toss and roll In dream I find no answers Things make no sense I hold in silence My untold dreams what do they mean As I struggle to find peace in sleep This sleepless dream of life's deceit In love we find in our heart Happiness we find in a smile In night air we find unexpected The things unimaginable in the dark But in life we find pursuit of more As we lay awake with eyes close This sleepless dream takes control As we fight era of ways once more A way of life's existence plays out Another sleepless dream I fight As I strive to know lifes meaning of all But struggle to find hope in darkness This sleepless dream should I find peace That my journey be fill with rest And my life with ease of sleep
