I let it rest there, that frown
On his brow, I wipe it
Gently down with caring
Hands sharing warmth
Encouraging smile,
Rest now for a while.
My head on his arm
It feels so safe and warm
Heartbeat so calm, it's
like balm to my fright
Wish I might stay here
Without fear. My smile
Will stay for a while
