Sky Song
The sky’s a song from night till dawn.
a scheme of light to please the sight,
rainbow of treasure giving pleasure
to gaze upon and dream beyond with
colors so phenomenal, azure so infinitesimal
that change so strange to rearrange.
Bleak clouds soon came forecasting rain.
Violet glad mixed with ominous sad.
Gray clouded view blocked the sight of blue,
a strong clue wet weather was due.
The pewter sky spoke and came awoke
with a soft thunder, rolling under
and a weakened sun that tried to come.
No storm alarm not dusk or dawn
and then a few gold rays came through.
The rain drop pink is gone and think
a pretty day in every way
a moon lit night aglow just right
with a sky song to gaze upon.
Toward the skies are our watchful eyes
that look to see what the day will be.
