Startling as the rise of the moon
On autumn’s twilight, beautiful as June
still breath of joy, falling like stars
silent truths…
stunning as the august wind
warming to the touch, grace descends
music in glorious praises, a maze
reflecting the wonders, unfaded
glistening through heavy hearted leaves
rustling like stardust, in the trees
scent of smokey forests who grieve
knowing the moon is losing its clarity
as summer fades into the dusky colors
erasing the song of laughter,
the buzz of bees and gestures of past times
when the night trembles and believes
freedom has come to the distant planets
lightening lingers, sliding through the skies
skating upon Saturn’s rings, glowing
with the dew who drenches each rose
and speaks her poetry to the sunrise…
showing the world what it means to shine
reminiscent of the fluid flavors of light,
breaking through the black, a sea of night
moon toasting the dark with her stories
risking all the stars who pierce the dreams,
awakened by desires to tread through endless
leaves, falling gestures of faith and need
flowing like rivers, caressing smooth stones
awakening the spirit who surely knows
peace this stirring is clever as the dance
a waltz with joy, a tango with grace…
skating upon Saturn’s rings, revealing
the sway of sensations – gentling as the need
breaking through the heavens, on angel’s wings
wonders hearts shall treasure as they grieve
the forest’s dwindling, waning, dying
so we can’t see what it is that remembers
the beautiful, the intimacy, the kindness
between graves of leaves and woodland calm,
the music of serenity sung all night long.
As my mind grows older and I feel weak
the blessings of a stardust quiet soothes my soul,
whispering amity to my spirit
singing good will to my heart and soul
relieving me so that I can feel
the winds, the stars who glisten in the heavens,
reaching out to stir the reflections
graceful as the wistful of a dandelion seed
who reaches out to the light, believes
wherever there is love – even this weed
can bring to life a lithe friend.
Rise, my heart and seek the winds
who toss the waves and stir the sands,
see the music that hearts agree
is the song of silence, awakened by belief,
the song of hope who is always brave
the song of a love who abides in the ways
we seek heaven’s Son, the music of One
who stills the winds
and is always willing to forgive,
even those who fail, again and again,
giving into the sin who is depraved
coming again to risk the life
who isn’t familiar with His great sacrifice.
On her rings, the heart colored in faith
glides across the rings,
a silent truth – a purpose
skating so we can see beyond eternity
the wonder of His light, His grace
the melody of love that stills the hate
love that lives to give away
the beautiful in hope, the delight who grows
because God’s Son gives second chances.
His miracle is light that shines into the hereafter
His wonder is love that abides – is everlasting
He is the answer to sin – He is the best friend
to every soul who hears, the love that doesn’t pretend
the love that seeks out the sinner
forgives and gives peace within,
peace that remembers His love truly frees hearts
His love surely sees the worst and still gives us hope!
