Sing we now our adoration, sing we now our hymn of praise, for thy name is our salvation, and a fount of life always. God, our Father, high in heaven, hallowed be thy holy name. We confess we've grieved thy Spirit, cast our sins into the sea, purify us, cleanse our hearts, that we may be restored to thee. May thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as done in heav’n. All the words of every language never could begin to tell all the joy of our thanksgiving for thy gift; Immanuel. Give us daily bread, forgive our debts, and lead us far from sin. O what comfort, Lord, what joy to cast our cares into thy hand! Hear our prayer and supplication, that thy grace would heal this land. For the kingdom, power, glory are forever thine, amen.

John, congratulations on your win! When I read this majestic, soaring lyric I knew I recognized it for it is in your wonderful book of hymns that I have been enjoying! This truly lifts our spirits and knowing the music that goes with it makes the experience even more special! Blessings dear friend. I guess we are going to have to wait a little to get out those jerseys and dust off the gloves! As Charlie Brown says: "Sigh!" :(

Regarding the baseball season, I will offer another Charlie Brownism: "Good grief!"

Sam, thank you for your generous words of affirmation (something you are consistently very good at!) To receive such encouragement from a singer such as yourself is head-spinning, to say the least. I'd been wanting to put the Lord's Prayer to music but found it was too short to make a proper hymn out of, so I experimented with merging it with this other hymn (that was also on the short side). Thank you for your ongoing support!

I can hear a regal organ in the backdrop as I read this, and a congregation singing reverently, you have a gift for inspiring music as well as words - have you ever written hymns? I hope this tops the winners list!
