Simple Answers
As I stare in the eyes of death,
Reflections of my past appears.
Etching the path taken through time,
Draws a map of my hopes and fears.
Questions that remain riddled,
As the truth is so seldom seen.
Fact and fiction become blurred,
As I'm now trapped in between.
Is it better to obtain knowledge,
Or possess a simple mind?
Gain the clarity that one seeks,
Or cast complications behind.
What good in chasing your dreams,
If acquired by drastic measures.
I should now release this burden,
And embrace the daily pleasures.
