Silent Morning
Silent morning, I wish for sound
No happy birds singing around
No greetings this morning daylight
Only the spring stillness in sight
I watch life in my yard dying
Hazardous chemicals spying
As if waiting to do some more
Reaching the human soul to core
Keep seeing things I never see
Just make me want to run and flee
The world has changed, before my eyes
All in two months, falling from skies
