Shopping Cart Man
~Ice storm~
Pine boughs laying arms of jade on the ground
powerlines swinging like summer jump ropes
the avenues are littered with dirty diamonds
crystal sun harboring a warming wreath of hope.
Windchimes lie silent and lightly sweetened
a cardinal morphing into blown glass flame
his rubied beakon will mostly go unheeded
say for the ferals and a shopping cart man.
