Ships In Bottles

her love’s soft and quiet

shy like ships in bottles

a benevolent voyage to the middle of me

ascertaining a magnetic togetherness

her voice weeps like a willow

a falling footstep cadence

my hope hangs patiently

on the edge of her blossoming lips

her eyes are as shy as a midnight shadow

and deeper than the black hole

beyond the last galaxy where I wait

to catch a fleeting glimpse of forever

her life is my joy

a creation beyond comprehension

the spirit’s redeeming grace

my abundant gratitude is her salvation
