Shining Pennies
To trust in others, yourself and life each day
Can be a difficult task when led astray
To remember, to look at the moon in the dark
And have courage with all there is to embark
To believe in falling stars, there are to be seen
Through black nights where they may glean
Takes faith while standing in this creation
Walked upon, with a given choice of elation
Bearing the turbulence, bound to endure
All part of life, still things remain pure
Never forget, what is simple most of all
Gifts like shining pennies, seen when we crawl
