Sue reclined on the bed in the buff Her hubby said ‘phowar you’re hot stuff’ She sobbed at the true cause It’s the darn menopause Then shouted cos she’s had enough She awakes drenched in a hot sweat Her bedding is all soaking wet Each day Sue’s so grumpy Feels fat and so frumpy She’s tearful and gets so upset Her hubby said ‘don’t worry dear’ Things are not as bad as you fear The result of your ills Means reduced heating bills We’ll travel to Iceland this year! 8/25/18

My husband always says the same thing to me. He turns up the air-conditioning. I have tried to explain the heat is coming from my internal thermostat and external coolness does not solve the problem. I love this set of limericks that so many can relate to. Excellent Jan! : ) xxoo

I kind of wish I'd have felt its effects rather than what happened to ME. Now I have to use estrogen blockers for who knows how long! Anyway, good stuff,Jan. I guess I am thankful I did not have hot flashes.

All three Limericks are a hoot, Jan:) I can relate to somebody who went from extremes of cold & hot .. that meant all sheets/blankets on and off all night long!! Hugs // paul

Jan, Jan, Jan, Jan, Jan..... what a brave and daring poetess you are! What a subject! I cannot think for the life of me why this is hilarious since I went through this many years ago without KNOWING I went through it, but it still strikes me as damned funny even though I have no actual knowledge. The ending is insanely fun!
