Sherri At Three

Snuggled deeply in her bed,

Dreams are playing in her head.

Quiet and peaceful she lays there,

    Relaxed face and tumbled hair.

Peaceful she is when at rest

And her behavior at its best.

In the morning the sun will rise

And once again she'll open her eyes.

Up and about to greet the day,

Out of her bed and off to play.

Not at all the same little one

Who was so still when day was done.

Hello, Francine. Just getting to know you through your poetry. Love this one; rings so true. I have a 3 year old granddaughter and this describes her perfectly. Have read a few other of your poems. Now that I've discovered your work, I will take my time in reading your many poems. Looking forward to the journey. :) Janece

So this is where it all started? You were up and running with this one which has your usual good descriptiveness and rhyming.
