Alouette
Created by Jan Turner, the form consists of two or more stanzas of 6 lines each, (12 lines or more) with the following rhyme scheme: a, a, b, c, c, b Syllable count: 5, 5, 7, 5, 5, 7

The world has shut down, folks hanging around are told to shelter in place. And based on the news you dare not refuse, so, stay at home just in case. It sounds overblown quarantined alone, without work or any pay. But it must be done or war won't get won, distancing's the only way. Only together can the world weather the change breakouts justify. An epidemic that's turned pandemic has doomed so many to die. Older folks need care, stay in, do your share, no one's been through this before. Using every means the world seeks vaccines, and prays the numbers don't soar. (Alouette) 03/30/2020
