She Would Do Better Next Time
She told him of her predicament
Forgetting that he wanted to fix things
Always his own way
All she wanted him to do was listen
Instead he punched noses, made phone calls,
Sent an email, screamed and hollered.
She had known better.
She knew he was not the one who could listen
And sit back and do nothing, not trying to fix it.
She would do better next time she vowed,
but of course, she didn’t.
