She Teases Farm Boys

Happy as a lark, they call her Lily
She teases farm boys, acting so silly
  Tells the corniest jokes
  The kind told by old folks
Lily's a pretty Hee-Haw Hillbilly

That show was on in the late 60's and early 70's. I recall it as a semi put-on/spoof, semi-'serious' look at 'farm-life back then... Actually, it was just a horrible show -- not even close to being in the same league as 'Grand Old Opry (mid - late 50's -- mid 60's, it seems to me.) That was real country!! Thanks, Michelle. :) gw
