She Is Not Ugly In An Ugly Sweater
La’Donna was a beauty, and most were jealous of her daily.
She can’t be all that! Argued my devil’s advocate cousin, Bailey.
Then he met her, and he knew what we were all thinking.
I noticed when he sneaked peeks at her, his cheeks were pinking.
We’ll make her wear an ugly Christmas sweater, somebody said.
We’ll make it for her, it will be awful; crass colors, we’ll add something dead.
We’ll make it silly, and weird, and she’ll look out of place and silly.
She wore if of course, and everyone fell in love with her, even Billy.
