She Is Known On Halloween
She had a smile that lights up the ancient graveyard in a special way.
The roses in her hair have not been fresh since a decade from today.
She has a smile that flashes with a deadly ghoulish gleam.
We see her coming recognizing a nightmare not a dream.
Not a Madonna, but she is a fixture known to some on Halloween.
Some call her the wizard’s apprentice, when she is avidly seen.
I know not her name, but she is fiercely spooky all right.
I hope never to see her smile when I turn off my night light.
