Shattered Goals and Tattered Souls

The moon's not always full, My heart is empty still. The sun will always rise, Your heart's a bitter pill. True love is worth the cost, I paid a heavy toll. Money can't buy you love, You own a tattered soul. Some doubt the rumors spread, I believe what I heard. Two wrongs don't make a right, You left without a word. Trees stand beneath the stars, I fall on shattered knees. The birds fly through the sky, You sail on distant seas. Roll the dice once or twice, I'll never try again. Play the cards that you're dealt, You'll never ever win.
