Shattered

I set my glass on the table It wobbles as I set it down fast In a rush Sirens is all I here Everything is muffled I ran out to the front yard Glass still wobbling, moving closer to the edge All in slow motion All I hear is the thudding of my heart The glass, frozen, on the edge My heart stops Crash I hit the floor The glass shatters to the smallest of pieces I'll never see that glass the same as I once did
