Suddenly I am aware of myself.
Where do I come from? Where am I going?
I cannot move. Some liquid surrounds me.
I drink the liquid. I grow as the liquid disappears.
I break my shell. I feel warmth, but I cannot move.

Another ball comes to me. We think to each other.
Soon things begin to change. I can walk. I can think.
We are on a planet named Earendel, a lovely place.
The other ball calls itself Plus Two and I am Plus One.
We need Minus One and Two. All four must stay together.
No reason is given. Perhaps the two Minus are in the ocean.
I look around and understand that high rocks shed water.
Water flows amongst purple trees. Their fruit is good.
We suck the water of the fruit from the purple tree.
Plus Two is anxious. We need to find Minus One and Two.

We walk to the ocean and all four meet. We form a circle.
Water churns, We drink the sweet ocean and suddenly
I become One, who sees, is tall, has two legs and is intelligent.
A super spaceship arrives. I must leave Earendel.

Our destination is on Herbig where cities abound.
I am a scientist they say. I must observe Earth. I learn
Their major languages, I observe their behavior,
Their love, their hate, their peace, their wars.

Then I am asked to go to Earth. What for? Find a solution.
They are hopeless. I am passed through a series of alterations
Until I take on the resemblance of a man. Disgusting, but
Those scientists must have changed my feelings.
I begin to walk the streets and hear their thoughts.
I need money, I need a house and above all I need a woman!
I am given all. And the woman I choose is lovely.
Of course, she is, she comes from Herbig too!!

This is such an entertaining and enjoyable read dear Victor - something so different from you! I love the imagery and the idea of purple trees. You can feel the anxiety of Plus Two and its need and knowledge to all form together to become the ultimate one. Wish he could find a solution to the hopelessness that so many find themselves in and not always of their own doing. Glad he chose a good woman :) Really enjoyed it. Good luck in the contest. Hugs and blessings x

Your well wrought science fiction story engrosses from start to finish, Victor. It was entertaining, with plausible scenarios. I enjoyed this space fantasy.

Victor, what a deep exploration of the universe that captures significant realizations about existence and fundamental changes in our understanding of reality. I appreciate the way in which the extraterrestrial realm of Earendel establishes the backdrop for the encounter of elemental entities, subtly alluding to fundamental realities.

Your imagination sparks a lively fuse, with names of sci-fi, "Plus One" and a new planet, a new lifestyle of adaption to water from the purple tree. Must find a solution for Earthlings. Great sci-fi! Best of luck in the contest, Victor xo

Dear Victor, What a profound cosmic odyssey capturing existential awakenings and metaphysical transformations. I love how the alien world of Earendel sets the stage for the meeting of elemental beings, hinting at universal truths. I also love how the jarring shift to grappling with basic human needs brilliantly juxtaposes cosmic insignificance and complexity. Victor this is a true metaphysical masterwork achieved with awe-inspiring depth. - Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Indeed. Life is a mysterious journey, of shape-shifting soul transforming consciousness -- Time and place are not nearly important as, quality of grace and love. Great write my friend. Held my interest throughout.

I like how it ends. It's good to be imaginative and realistic too. Hahaha. You presented the cycle of growth well, being human or not. I believe in past lives and I always think to myself. What if your friend in this life was your favourite pet in the past? Cheers Victor.

Good imagination. LOL..I got a laugh out of this because it reminds me of a conglomeration of science fiction plus religion all mixed into one. Thanks for sharing. Reads like an unusual contender for the contest which could mean a place on the winners' list. Sara K
