Shantelle
Bemused, they all say,
Shantelle is Venus in stone,
but no heed I pay,
try to find if she’s a clone.
Under moonbeam dust,
she turns a statue of silence.
On petrified figure of lust,
I see sprightly curves of cadence.
Confused, they all call her,
a lackluster inert stone,
but it’s an undue slur
for I know what she owns.
In candle light glow,
she’s a radiant miracle.
The dark cranny of rock shows
her smile of diamond sparkle.
