Shadows Of Want

How do I get over this longing for you? In the quiet moments alone, I feel the heaviness of your absence, Whispering through the shadows. I try to distract myself, But my thoughts always come back to you, An ache that won't go away. How do I move on from craving you? In the busy city streets, I seek comfort in unfamiliar faces, But they blur into images of you. Your laughter echoes in my head, A song I can't shake off, Drawing me deeper into wanting. How do I stop wanting you? I say your name into the night, Hoping it will fade away with the wind, But it always returns softly. I look at the stars, But they just remind me of your eyes, Leaving me with but only one question... How do I stop craving you?
