Shadows of the Valley

The wind whispers secrets through the craggy stone, Where ancient echoes make their weary moan. Down in the hollow, where the sun scarce gleams, A winding path unwinds, like waking dreams. The shadows lengthen, stretching thin and vast, Remnants of struggles, journeys of the past. Each rustling leaf, a memory takes flight, Lost voices murmur in the fading light. No easy road, this passage through the deep, Where watchful spirits secrets softly keep. But strength resides where darkness holds its sway, A quiet power, lighting up the way. For even here, where gloom might seem to reign, A spark ignites, to conquer every pain. And through the valley, though the shadows creep, A deeper wisdom, in the soul, we keep. The journey's end, a promise yet untold, Beyond the darkness, stories to unfold. And from these depths, a brighter dawn will break, As new horizons for the spirit wake. ©bfa052325
