Serendipity
They say best friends stick together,
like a straight line that doesn't bend
But where does that line start?
was it on that rainy day
when we were alone in that cafe
and something just clicked?
or was it on that summer night
where expectations for leaking stars were traded
For our deep words.
was it when
I started telling you about my dreams?
But what about when we fought
what about when
we started talking to other people
more than each other?
because that doesn't really feel like a straight line.
I used to be like a lost puppy
just wanting to be held in someone's arms
you didn't even worry about me
Instead you taught me to heal by myself
All that time spent
Just feeling bad
But you, you made me really see
What being friends is meant to be.
