Listen to poem:
September waltzes in high on its tiptoes
graceful under the midnight moon skyline
honored to present its most fragrant rose
September waltzes in high on its tiptoes
with an array of sweet columbine
how their perfumes sweetly tickle my nose
Under starlight my love only grows
always the fond memory of sweet Adeline
and her heart without ribbons and bows
Forever inclined to poetry and prose
connecting the dots to my lifeline
long for love while avoiding stray arrows
September waltzes in high on its tiptoes
gingerly on this path that is mine
time flies as rife opportunity flows
Torn between past and future I suppose
when breeze and memories intertwine
September waltzes in high on its tiptoes
honored to present its most fragrant rose
