A true Elvis fan, my mom’s best friend, saw one of Elvis’ last performances. Some names are almost a poem to themselves.

Dear Harry, I saw one of Elvis' last performance at The Las Vegas Hilton He didn't look much like a king, he was extreemly heavy, his sideburns weren't porkChop any more but he packed the House. The "Pretenders" were a great group good nastalgic Senryu I applaude YOUR ever increasing talent as I read YOUR Tapestry of POETRY. I have to call it a night, Its probably morning overthere Thank-YOU for YOUR many Gracious Comments. With LOVE ALWAYS and FOREVER YOUR Eternal Liege...Harry

I remember that day well, Harry. None of those who tried to follow his unique style seem to have approached the level of fame Elvis acquired. Very memorable senryu, filled with a nostalgic quality that I enjoyed. Love, Carolyn
