Wishes hang, like icicles Clinging to the steely gray Branches where silence breathes Promises, echoing through The winds, hastening hope and Anticipation, resting on the Colors of joy, peace and grace Blended together with faith Crisp words form to create Images and imagery, picture Perfect intimacy, inspirations Flowing from the pen, Unearthing secrets and whimsical Dreams, ideas that burn Passionate and alive, a fire On the inside where I know the Wonder of God’s abiding Thunder, the wonder of silence Gentling the truth With imaginations who bring Beauty from the darkest graves Glory from the dread, the appalling, Laughter from the most gloomy Places where the sun never shines, Where birds don’t take flight, Where history fights for the chance To birth memories of thanksgiving, Rays of hope amid the darkest Shadows, the black that obscures The glistening stars, the moon All those pieces of optimism’s honest Look into the eyes of serenity And devotion, fidelity Depression exhausts Every pleasure, each dream With flavors of sorrow, grief That beckons to the memory, The possibilities linger…. Plans yearn to be made, But instead are hidden away Beneath silhouettes of dread, Fear takes the stage Where once there had been Confidence and assurance, Where there had been light… Night falls heavy, like a veil of doubt, Clinging to the yearnings Failing to give life a purpose Depression feels like waves of caution, Roaring through the soul, Sending inklings of discouragement, Suspicions and worries, Haunting even the sunlight’s grace With a feeling that binds love Replacing the joy with a sadness That even the sweetest hope Can’t dissuade… it is this sorrow That lingers on the hearts of those Who reach past the pain… Into the freedom of a death That will never let them open Their heart again Suicide Hotline: 988 May God be with you and bless you with peace that surpasses understanding! Philippians 4:7 - King James Version 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
