Seeking To Ponder the Truth

The mouth speaks, words that hide the self that hungers deep inside. But we forge onward in fear of exposure never seeking to ponder the truth. because the unknowing is so comforting. Souls, senseless to the signs of end time eternity rely completely and totally on esteem where one has all the answers in themselves and says "Look at me," fail to find wonder in the mystical dimensions of life worshiping facts, oh so tangible believing in little that is unseen. Shallow. Godlessly hands take a life with value of none known only to the final sound of bars closing and lives embittered, caged humanity whose mental agony fills the atmosphere with angst riddling the air with the sound of panic. Dying tells no lies. Absolute truth? Can one word encompass all reality or do we simply say it is the blinking eye unfolding in the microseconds as the thing that has already occurred? Somewhere, rarely sought, drowned out by a cacophony of denial breeds an ulcer, deep in 21st Century desire, called truth that is seemingly defined by suffering and inhumanity. 4/15/18 Topic: 1 Absolute Truth Active Soul and Mankind's Self-righteousness' Poetry Contest Sponsor: Catie Lindsey

Riveting write, Sian, one which eloquently and achingly yearns for and gets at the Truth of all existence and of our earthly existence. Congrats on your placement in the contest! Best wishes, Gershon Wolf
