Seek, Seeking Peace And That Far Distant Shore Dawn's flowing music has been very fine This old soul needs more than sweet talk and wine When deep boredom and sad blues play their song I drink my coffee, move right on along Seek, seeking peace and that far distant shore Life has been so good, I want me some more Youth had its heart and its finest new plays Time waits for nobody and never stays In that huge ring, my best hat I did toss I boast my wins, I grieve my greater loss Seek, seeking peace and that far distant shore Life has been so good, I want me some more Best when love first knocks, heart simply obeys Walk that path and thy soul never betrays Embrace late night hours, enjoy its slow hands Live to dance with joy, hear music's best bands. Seek, seeking peace and that far distant shore Life has been so good, I want me some more Robert J. Lindley, 5-11-2018 Rhyme, ( Never Fear To Look Back)

I have a very old birthday tomorrow, and was reading over some of my favs. This one touched me so, "Seek, seeking peace and that far distant shore Life has been so good, I want me some more."

Your repetitive lines are worthy of Bartlett's Quotes. I really enjoyed many of its lines - "This old soul needs more than sweet talk and wine." A fav.

Ah yes, the good life. It's all good, Robert. "When love first knocks, the heart simply obeys" was my favorite line in this wonderful poem.

Thank you my friend. I have seen guys run from love and I always asked them, why are you afraid. Most oft the answer was, " fear of it not lasting." I replied and "it never will if you run from it""...

Thank you my friend. Life is short, even if a person lives a full hundred. Best if one can to enjoy as much as is possible.

Thank you my friend. Shocks me that even with my memory issues, oft I can remember poems that are for the most part composed in my dreams.
