9/28/2024 for Rhymes in Nine 2 Poetry Contest sponsored by Joseph May

3 I lost my spark on a night so dark. The sun did descend, a stark day did end, with a ringing, stinging remark. Now I see what a lamplight shows me. Frosty, for free, did lend a perch, made a friend, waking me and making me see. A cardinal from high, and a round, snowy guy, I sigh, they charm, an arm and heart they extend, stars aligning, shining in the sky and my eye.
