Second Guesses
Perhaps had I chosen another
Instead of the love that I did,
I wouldn't have been left a
Widow so soon and my
Son would not have had
Genetic flaw
That took him
Away
Too.
But ..................if I had chosen another
I would not have had those sweet years
With the love of my young life
Nor have had him either,
My redheaded lad
Or the two girls
Who are so
Dear to
Me.
Better by far to have loved and lost
Than not to have had them at all.
I wouldn't give up those years
Just to avoid the tears.
The joy was worth
The losing of
My two men.
Husband
Son.
