Second Chance-Collaboration
He was searching for the author of 'A Reader of the Stars,'
the woman he still loved, who'd published her memoirs.
She wrote of wishing she could see inside a crystal ball,
to find the man she loved, who was handsome and tall.
He said to himself, "She's the woman of your dreams,"
and hated losing her when love fell apart at the seams.
Now, he'd ask her, "Will you allow me to enter your life?
Please say 'yes' and I vow to cherish you as my wife."
He would treat her as a treasure; a princess, no doubt.
With words of love for her, from the rooftops he'd shout,
"Darling, could you ever love again, someone just like me?"
On bended knee, he'd offer a diamond ring with his plea.
